A minimum of two crew people of the Quebec-built replica vessel are missing after abandoning ship from the coast of New York in ocean triggered by Hurricane Sandy.
Authorities using the U.S. Coast Guard told CBC News the 16-member crew of HMS Bounty made the decision to abandon ship after you have caught in five.5-metre seas off Cape Hatteras on Monday.
All of the crew people managed to get onto two covered existence-rafts only 14 everyone was hoisted onto helis, stated U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Brendan Selerno. He stated authorities haven't yet had the opportunity to debrief the 14 children to discover what went down towards the two other crew people.
Selerno stated the 2 missing crew people are thought to stay in cold water survival suits and existence-jackets. He stated the environment search has been plotted according to wind direction and speed, and will also be broadened.

Claudia McCann, whose husband may be the captain from the Bounty, stated she had not rested since she received word the ship was dealing with water.
She stated her husband, Captain Robin Walbridge, was looking to get around Hurricane Sandy on the way to Florida.
"He only agreed to be attempting to cure it, skirt it. Skirt through it, skirt around it," McCann stated Monday.
"I am sure he's devastated. Absolutely devastated. However the crew comes first and you've got in order to save the crew."
